As I look at my past blogs, I am absolutely amazed at the fact that it has been over a year since I last published a blog. So much has changed, yet so much remains the same. Even now as I was trying to write this blog, my son asked me to help him with his math homework, and once I finished helping him, I was determined to get back to finishing this blog. I have procrastinated long enough, and it's time to turn this talk into action. I have been listening and learning from some amazing people lately, and the common theme is to just do something. I've always been a thinker, well actually more of an over-thinker. I know I'm over-thinking whenever I drive myself crazy weighing all of these various scenarios which I'm too busy thinking about, than to actually put any of them into action. My new Shero is Patrice Washington, The Money Maven (realmoneyanswers.com). I love how transparent that she is in sharing her journey of overcoming defeat and becoming a successful speaker and author. Her overwhelming message has been to just start and put your thoughts into action, even when you don't necessarily know the end result. She encourages you to do the steps that you do know, and continue to research and study what comes next and then to put that step into action.
I've been on this journey for years now, and although I've made some progress mentally, unfortunately physically I have not come very far. I continue to be on this roller coaster of emotional eating and self-sabotaging behavior. Every time that I make some progress with working out and eating better, I become gripped by fear and anxiety, which then throws me back into the vicious cycle of emotional eating. I've learned on this journey that the pounds that I have to lose are more in my mind than even in my physical body. So as I focus on my mental and spiritual well being, I'm ready to continue this journey and take my speed from a snail's pace, to at least a jog.
If you've been on this journey with me since the beginning, then don't give up on me, because I will never give up on my self. I've committed with the help of God to push past my fears, and I'm excited to see where this journey will lead me next. Follow me as I continue to Praise Away Pounds.

So proud of you Tish!
